Huntington heats up as artists arrive in Mudgee

Luckily the Atos Trio were ale to sleep in the car as upon arrival in Mudgee they went straight into rehearsals for the Huntington Estate Music Festival. First up, Faure’s La Bonne Chanson with Amelia Farrugia, Zoe Black, Caroline Henbest and Andrew Meisel.

The Festival atmosphere is well and truly kicking in as more and more artists arrive in Mudgee, including the ANAM Chamber Orchestra, Genevieve Lacey, recorders, Jane Gower, bassoon, and Lars Ulrik Mortensen, harpsichord. Winery staff are busy completing the miraculous transformation from barrel hall to concert hall. It’s not all work though, with the winery’s cat taking a nap on stage in one of the rare breaks during rehearsal.

Rehearsals continue tomorrow, and the first concert of the Festival begins at 8pm, but tonight the artists get a chance to relax at a barbecue hosted by winery owners Tim and Nicky Stevens.
