Atos Trio performs in Adelaide tonight
It’s tough in the professional music business. Established in 2003, the Atos Trio is still considered an emerging group, despite years of experience individually and success as a group at numerous competitions. This year the group has been part of the BBC’s New Generation Artists’ Scheme. The Scheme offers artists who are beginning to make a mark on the international music scene the chance to develop their talents through performances at Wigmore Hall, appearances and recordings with the BBC Orchestras, special studio recordings for Radio 3, and appearances at the BBC Proms.
The Atos Trio, meanwhile, has been enjoying its time in Australia, sampling local beers and wines and nothing but praise for the Perth audience and piano. Musica Viva’s Director of Artistic Planning, on the other hand, is full of praise in return, commenting “The Trio are wonderfully individual performers but seem to have that sense of telepathy with each other that is so gorgeous to witness, and which came to the fore in the Schumann.”
And so it looks like another exciting tour is shaping up. We’re sure tonight’s Adelaide concert will be fantastic.
