Healthy buzz around Alina & Cedric’s tour

It’s always nice when there’s a healthy buzz around a tour. ABC Classic FM listeners would have woken earlier in the week to hear a track from Alina and Cedric’s new Beethoven disc on the Wigmore Hall Live label. Rumour has it the disc was released early to coincide with this tour. The duo also performed live on ABC Classic FM last night, and on Saturday 16 October Genevieve Lang, presenter of Musica Viva’s Chamber Music Essentials course, hosts a Concert Special on Sydney radio station 2MBS 102.5 FM. In this program she will explore some of the works in Alina and Cedric’s Program 2, being performed on Monday 18 October at City Recital Hall, Angel Place.

We also continue to receive positive audience feedback, like this comment from a Perth concert-goer: “Both the artists are superb players and musicians, their choice of program was excellent, and the proof of their compelling playing was the complete absorbed attention of the audience, to whom almost all the works would have been unfamiliar.”

Today the duo travels to Sydney after a great Adelaide concert. Cedric also heads to the Theme and Variations showroom, to whom we are grateful for providing rehearsal space at short notice. Tomorrow they perform their first Sydney concert, which is followed by a Q&A with the audience, hosted by Carl Vine. Both performers are warm and approachable speakers so do make an effort to stay for this.
