Successful Perth concert for Alina Ibragimova & Cedric Tiberghien

Last night in Perth Alina Ibragimova and Cedric Tiberghien played to an appreciative audience, including a number of young piano and violin students. Alina and Cedric enjoyed performing in the Perth Concert Hall, its accoustic allowing them to play very softly, drawing the audience in.

The audience responded well to Paul Stanhope’s Agnus Dei (After the Fire), with people really sensing Paul’s personal response to the Victorian bushfire tragedy in the music.

Program Two closes with Schumann’s symphonic Violin Sonata no 2 in D minor, op 121. Alina and Cedric capture the romantic, passionate moods of the piece very successfully.

Today the duo traveled to Adelaide in preparation for their concert there tomorrow night. If you’re not in Adelaide hear the duo live on ABC Classic FM.
