Choir rests in Sydney before heading to Port Macquarie

The Choir of Trinity College Cambridge gets the chance to do the “tourist thing” today with a rest day in Sydney. The rest time will be appreciated as the Choir heads off to Port Macquarie tomorrow for a performance at the Glasshouse, returning to Sydney on Sunday for a performance at Musica Viva’s Sydney Gala at the Art Gallery of NSW. This is followed by a concert in Sydney on Monday which will be broadcast live around Australia on ABC Classic FM.

And don’t miss your chance to see conductor Stephen Layton up close. Stephen will sign CDs after concerts in Sydney, Monday 30 August, Adelaide, Thursday 2 September, and Melbourne, Saturday 11 September, while he will participate in Q&As with the audience after the concerts in Brisbane, Wednesday 1 September, Sydney, Saturday 4 September, Melbourne, Tuesday 7 September, and Canberra, Thursday 9 September.

If you’d still like to learn more about the Choir’s tour programs, remember Musica Viva’s Concert Insights. Check out this video about Britten’s Rejoice in the Lamb.
