Paul Lewis: There’s something about Australia that’s really unique
Paul Lewis landed in Australia yesterday, and was no doubt pleased to get to his Brisbane hotel after a 9 hour stopover in Bangkok and a further 3 hours in Sydney! While in Bangkok, Paul was able to get out of the airport and explore the city, his first ever visit to Bangkok. It must be said, however, that once in Brisbane, Paul practised very diligently before returning to his hotel to sleep off the jet-lag.
Tonight is the first concert of Paul’s Australian tour, at the Queensland Conservatorium, and we’re sure it will be fantastic, judging by his enthusiasm for Australia and Australian audiences. According to Paul, “There’s something about Australia that’s really unique… There’s something in the air, there’s something about the enjoyment that you sense that the audience has for the music. People seem to love it, and it’s great to sense that. It really gives you something as a performer. It gives you an extra reason to do it.”
Thanks Paul, it’s nice to feel appreciated and we’re looking forward to hearing you play!
