Concerts, masterclasses and more!

The Harp Consort’s Newcastle concert was another success, attracting a full house, including several new faces. The concert was particularly popular with families, and one young patron gave Steve Player some serious competition in the dancing stakes! The group continues to enjoy itself, with Michael in particular enjoying the food provided by the Newcastle committee after the concert.

Tonight the group performs at the City Recital Hall, Angel Place, at 7pm. Musica Viva’s Sydney staff are particularly looking forward to the concert after witnessing an impromptu performance by Ian Harrison and Michael Metzler in the office on Friday afternoon.

The Harp Consort has a busy tour ahead of them with several concerts ahead of them as well as a number of masterclasses at the following institutions:
12 May, Early Music Studio, Melbourne
17 & 18 May, University of Western Australia, Perth
19 May, Elder Conservatorium, Adelaide
21 May, Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Sydney

We’d love to have your feedback about any of the Harp Consort’s concerts, additional activity or this blog so feel free to leave a message!
