Kuss Quartet & Naoko Shimizu – broadcasts, meet the artists and more
Tonight the Kuss Quartet & Naoko Shimizu perform in Coffs Harbour, and have already expressed their curiosity about the Big Banana. Tomorrow they travel on to Hobart where they will perform on Sunday, before returning to Sydney on Monday.
As usual, there is lots of activity planned for this tour. Members of the Quartet will give a masterclass at ANAM on Wednesday 19 September at 10am. Their concert on 22 September will be broadcast live on ABC Classic FM.
Meet the Artists question and answer sessions will take place in Melbourne, 18 September, Brisbane, 26 September, and Sydney, 29 September. The Artists will be signing CDs after concerts in Sydney, 17 September, Canberra, 20 September, Adelaide, 21 September, Melbourne, 22 September, and Perth, 24 September.
Keep an eye out for other events around this tour. Gordon Kerry will be traversing the country to hear the premiere performances of his String Quintet. Information about Musica Viva’s 2013 season will be available at each concert. And one of Musica Viva’s 2012 Rising Stars ensembles, the Sydney Camerata Quartet, will be giving a special pre-concert performance in Sydney on Monday 17 September. Looks like we’ll all need a rest by the end of this tour!
