Amarcord’s second week in Australia
The boys from Amarcord certainly know how to keep themselves busy. On their free day in Melbourne they visited a wildlife park, even scoring a photo with a koala, and then met up with the ladies of Ginger and Tonic, past participants in Amarcord’s a cappella festival, for dinner. (Those fluent in German can read the ensemble’s tour blog here.)
Amarcord’s Canberra concert proved a little more exciting than usual, with a fire alarm causing the concert to start a little later than planned, but luckily the rest of the evening was able to proceed according to plan. The following morning the ensemble had breakfast with a handful of lucky competition winners.
Yesterday the group returned to Melbourne, where this morning they popped into the ABC Classic FM studios to talk to Christopher Lawrence on air. Tonight they sing at the Melbourne Recital Centre; we leave you with a little taster.

Thank you Armacord for a brillant concert last Thursday in Melbourne. I enjoyed it so much that tonight I listened into ABC Classic FM for the second program. These guys show why the human voice can be the perfect instrument.
We’re glad you enjoyed Amarcord’s Melbourne concerts, Robert, both live and on the radio. It’s always a pleasure to receive feedback from our audience!
