Amarcord reviews plus live broadcast tonight!
Review’s of Amarcord’s Perth concert are pouring in and it’s good news so far.
The Australian called it “a restrained yet beautifully blended performance… Performed from memory and with a degree of flair and good humour.”
Artistic Director Carl Vine commented that it was “a very fine concert… Their script was slick and their acting skills extremely fine throughout. The encore is worth waiting for.”
One of our Artistic Review Panel members also reported “Amarcord is a superlative vocal ensemble – not only is their musicianship and technique flawless, their programming is extremely interesting, their folk song arrangements are wonderful and, above all, they are consummate performers who know how to entertain. It was a joy to see this unique ensemble perform – the sense of humour, ever-present but subtle, is a rare quality and puts them in a class of their own!”
